Thou Heretic!

Okay, so I wasn't able to get the link to work. Just go to marketplace.org and type "the Rich Pay More" in the search box. Then listen to the show about Bush's tax cuts. Basicaly, what they say is that his tax cuts did benefit the rich but that in turn helped boost our economy. Wow! imagine that, maybe, just maybe the President knew what he was doing. For NPR to air this is tantimount to heresy. I just took my children to a parade. I just realized what a confusing ordeal this must be for kids. I mean, they get to take candy from strangers! Not to mention we let them play in the street. We also show them that it's okay to be in a moving vehicle without some kind of restraint. As far as hand-outs go, this one was rather strange. They were giving out breath mints and birdhouses. I mean i'm sure there is some kind of secret freudian message here, but it escapes me. Oh, by the way I will try to post that video some day. Well here is my weird link for the day...Here

Spider Attack! (sort of...)

It started like any other day. The Great machine that is American Industry, pumping out it's steady rythmn of progress. Somewhere in Northern New England one man was making his daily contribution to greater good. Hazmat, Electrician, reluctant hero.(again, sort of..) While moving boxes of hardware, our hero discovered a giant(3" across) radioactive(not) Man eating(probably not, but i didn't wait to find out!) Spider! Our Hero did not waste any time. Instead he sprang into action. First He located A really old Proffesor with a single and devastatingly beautiful daughter. He then called all the news papers and sent the world into panic. And finaly after droping several A-bombs and proclaiming that the fate of Humanity was hanging in the balance He reached for his blowtorch.... Well, That's more or less what happened. I guess maybe, I might have taken a few liberties, But i have noticed a TON of spiders in the past few days. In the last few days my sons have awoken to large spiders crawling up their walls. It's wild to watch how they each respond so differently to this. Isaac, the oldest, finds them a little upseting while Aiden, 18mos younger, finds the spiders very exciting. Well thats all i've got today, Hey check out this VIDEO!

The Hiatus is over..

Okay, sorry i haven't posted anything latley. I guess i'll just tell you what i've been up-to this week. Work, yup, just work. My wife is with child, which in turn makes her very sick. This leaves the lion's share of the house work to me. I really don't mind. I just wish I could have a better attitude about it. On one hand I know that she needs my help and that it is my duty and yet, on the other hand is this selfish beast who rolls his eyes and gets really cranky when asked to help. I love my wife dearly and would do anything for her, and yet this beast always comes out of me. I think the key is to remember that we are all selfish beings at heart. This really helps me to vent my anger. I now have a target: My selfish side. I imagine seeds of bitterness toward my wife could sprout if I did not have this perspective. Don't get me wrong, my wife has done nothing to garner my anger or bitterness. I can just see how a relationship could turn bitter if we did not understand basic human nature. On a different note; I have been getting ready for my mission trip to Ghana. I am really stoked to be going back even though I got Malaria last time, but hey, I was the first kid on my block to have it! Once I get to Africa, I will set-up a new blog for the trip. I will be going at the end of Sept. Well, those are my thoughts Bye!
Oh, Wait! You need to check this out, This was made by my Sister and nephew... The Birds!

Easter

So this is Easter, Nice. Today i've been wondering what Jesus' day was like on Easter. Do you think he woke early, excited to start the day. Perhaps he laid in the tomb for a while, weary, tired, gathering His strength. Basking in the glory of His Victory. Maybe he never "slept" at all. From the moment He died maybe it was constant battle. Perhaps thats why he wasn't at the tomb when Mary arrived. Anxious to get alone with His dad and see the face of a proud Father. Do you think he could feel the cold stone underneath His head? Did the smell of the tomb bother Him? What horrors did he see while in the grave? Did he actually have physical battle with death? I wonder if He gets choked-up when He thinks back about those 3 days. Well those are my thoughts. Tomorrow I will try to post a video of my brother playing guitar.

Oh Crap! Its Spring...

Now don't worry, I'm not going to wax lyrical about the newness of life and the rebirth of spring. Quite the opposite actually. I was just noticing how ugly everything is. Winter leaves my yard looking like some kind of EPA superfund site. Here's just few items i've found while raking today: old junk mail, burger boxes, dog turds, a plastic horse, and a hubcap, not to mention plastic bags. I remember when the world switched to plastic bags. Somehow we believed that we were saving the world by reducing our reliance on nature and filling our landfills with plastic. I don't think anything epitomizes the ugliness of spring cleaning like a year old plastic bag filled with brown rain water and old candy wrappers sitting under your bush. Being a bit of right-wing tree hugger i long for paper. Speaking of the EPA, maybe some day i'll tell you about gasoline-spraying Pontiac. That could probably be it's own blog,...(hmmm). Well, Isaac and Aiden are awake, so i must go. I promised them we could go back outside and keep raking the landfill.

First things first though, 'Gotta figure out how to edit this page...
